Twitter blocked a Houthi militia account after blocking accounts of Hezbollah and Hamas

In detail, Twitter stopped a Houthi-affiliated account in Yemen, called "The Central Warfare Channel," in a major crackdown on accounts promoting terrorism, Radio Verda reported.

The Twitter site has suspended the account of the channel "Al-Manar" of Hezbollah, saying it did not follow its rules.

"There is no place in Twitter for illegal terrorist organizations and violent extremism," a Twitter spokesman said.

A number of US lawmakers have given Twitter's chief executive, Jack Dorsey, until November 1 to remove all content belonging to terrorist organizations and people associated with it, including Hamas and Hezbollah.
