An armed gang looted a truck carrying relief materials belonging to the King Salman Center on Tuesday at the southern entrance of the city of Taiz in central Yemen.

Local sources said that an armed gang led by Majid Sarhan al-Najar, known as "Majed al-Araj," looted a truck carrying relief materials belonging to the King Salman Center, at noon today, at the point of Hangar southern entrance to the city of Taiz.

The looting of the relief truck comes a week after members of the armed gang interrupted Al-Massaekh representatives and looted trucks carrying poultry at the Hangar point in the sight of military and security points.

Human rights activists monitored four cases of banditry and looting carried out by members of the Al-Araj gang affiliated with Abdo Farhan al-Mikhlafi, the military commander of the Muslim Brotherhood, at the southern entrance to Taiz.

Majid al-Araj's gang also created an illegal checkpoint in front of the central prison near al-Hanjar, imposing royalties on commercial vehicles and trucks entering Taiz.
