Suspected cases of dengue fever in Marib rise to 124 cases

An official health source in the province of Marib, the suspected cases of dengue fever in one of the villages of the directorate of Juba south of the province rise to 124 in just two weeks.

A local source in the directorate of Juba said that two women died on Sunday due to complications of dengue fever, pointing out that the epidemic is spreading in villages in the directorate such as Naga and Jdeideh.

Al-Ramli pointed to a setback in some areas and the return of mosquito-borne mosquitoes, especially in the village of Naja, noting that 34 new cases were reported in the new village within 3 days, including two confirmed cases.

The people of the directorate through social networking sites appealed for distress to international organizations, calling for the speedy rescue of the people in light of what they described as "the failure of the competent government authorities in the province to perform its duty."

A medical source in the governorate said that cases of injuries were recorded in the directorates: Huraib, Al-Juba, Al-Wadi, Sarwah, Al-Madinah, Mahleya and Rahba.

He pointed out the need for the descent of health teams in addition to the descent of spray mist teams before the disease takes the lives of the infected.
