Al-Qaeda terrorists attacked the home of a security official in the Abyan province in southern Yemen on Tuesday.
A security source said that the belt forces responded to an attack by al-Qaeda militants on the home of the commander of the eastern sector of the directorate of Modya Walid Mughalib.
It added that clashes erupted between the parties after the attack, resulting in the injury of a number of al-Qaeda militants, while the rest fled outside the area.
