After the "Newsyemen" report .. Al-Bahsni obliges Petromassilla to treat the victims of its waste in Al-Emtaiz areas

The governor of Hadhramaut, Commander of the Second Military Region, Major General Faraj Salem Al-Bahsani, visited, on Wednesday, the 14th sector of the Al-Messila Petroleum Exploration and Production Company (Petromassilla) in the Ghayl Bin Yamin area.


According to operating sources at the company, Al-Bahsni discussed with Petromasila officials the problems in the oil sectors and the effects of environmental waste in Al-Emtiaz areas that lead to the death of dozens of people living with carcinogenic diseases.

The governor’s visit came days after the publication of “Newsyemen”, a field report on the health implications of Petromasilah’s waste on the residents of Al-Emtiaz areas.

Al-Bahsni discussed, during a meeting that included the company's management and the directors of the directorates of "Gail Bin Yemen and Sah" the recently raised voices of the importance of caring for the environment and preserving people in Al-Emtiaz areas.

He stressed following up cancer cases and providing them with financial support and liquidity for treatment, in addition to setting a plan to provide oncology centers in Hadramout Governorate with the necessary requirements, and increasing the size of local development projects to meet the needs of citizens and rapid intervention during disasters and crises.

The governor of Hadramout stressed, according to the provincial media office, during the meeting led by the company, the necessity of giving Al-Emtiaz areas great importance, directing the directors of the districts located in Al-Emtiaz areas with continuous communication with the leadership of the Petromassilla Company, raising various projects to them and following up their implementation.

In turn, Petromasa's management reviewed the mechanism for implementing projects that are approved according to priorities and needs and approved in coordination with the local authorities in the directorates at the end of each year and implemented in the next year.
