By order of the State of Qatar, the leader of the Brotherhood in Yemen, Hammoud al-Mikhlafi, established a camp in Taiz governorate serving the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.

Al-Mikhlafi named the camp “Hamad” after the father of the Emir of Qatar Hamad bin Khalifa, and Doha sponsored costs and salaries of up to 2000 Saudi riyals per soldier per month.

The camp is located on the area of three liberated directorates in the countryside of Taiz, and the site was a camp for the Brotherhood's Popular Mobilization Militia and the 17th Infantry Brigade.

The manpower of the camp was formed from the elements returning from the war fronts against the Houthi militia, in the southern Saudi border.

"YouTube" channel publishes, on YouTube, a motion graphic video, explaining the reasons for the establishment of the camp in Taiz countryside, and Qatar's motives after it dismantled the legal camps in Saada and southern Saudi Arabia to enable the Houthis.
