Abyan .. confrontations following military developments of the Brotherhood's militia in Al-Mahfed

Violent confrontations broke out, on Saturday, between the southern resistance and the Islah militia in the Al-Mahfed district of Abyan Governorate, south of Yemen.
A local source said that armed clashes erupted between the two parties, after the Brotherhood's efforts to create new sites in the region.
It added that the southern resistance responded by launching an attack on two axes, which targeted the locations of the Islah militia, west of the "Talil" district of the Al-Muhafid district.
According to the source, the southern forces damaged combat vehicles and the attack resulted in the killing and wounding of several members of the Muslim Brotherhood.
And two weeks ago, Al-Mahfad district witnessed a great military tension, after the militia affiliated to the Islah attacked the southern resistance sites and brought reinforcements from Maarib and Shabwa to Abyan, as part of its plan to thwart the Riyadh agreement, which was sponsored by Saudi Arabia between the government of interim President Abd Rabuh Mansour Hadi and the Southern Transitional Council.
