"Food Security" distributes "unsafe" aid

The local authority of the Sayun District in Hadhramaut Governorate burned 549 flour sacks, a package of 50 kilograms, provided by the Food Security Project, by "Brotherhood" organization, as humanitarian aid, because it was unsuitable for human consumption.
Whereas, the Director General of Sayun District, Muhammad Al-Amri, stressed the destruction and burning of corrupted materials based on the results of the laboratory examination that proved the change of quantity with substances harmful to human health, stressing that the Office of Industry and Trade, the Office of Public Works and Roads and the Office of Public Health and Population will follow up on the materials distributed to beneficiaries in the future and make sure of its safety.
Al-Amiri met with the Local Authority Office at Sayun Directorate, with the executors of the distribution process, and stood before a number of complaints from citizens regarding previously distributed materials and the reasons and ways to avoid them as a negative indicator related to the safety of citizens, stressing the necessity of joining efforts to enhance work and overcome deficiencies and expand the distribution area to include more in the community.
