A few days ago, the Islah party finalized a prisoner exchange deal with the Houthi militia without the Taiz axis or any of the military parties announcing the operation before its completion or during the release.

Sheikh Hammoud Al-Mikhlafi appeared during this process as the party that represented Taiz in the conclusion of the exchange deal, by raising his photos on the cars of the convoy who were less released from the place of their launch, as well as announcing financial assistance to each released prisoner of 100,000 riyals from the Sheikh Hammoud Al-Mikhlafi.

A number of Sheikh Hamoud Saeed Al-Mikhlafi affiliates also attended representatives of the army in Taiz, who was supposed to be the party that managed the agreement with the Houthi militias to complete the exchange deal as usual and had happened previously.

Returning Sheikh Hammoud al-Mikhlafi to the façade in Taiz represented in his activity in the file of the wounded and the new recruitment camps in Yafres and Taiz, and finally the file of prisoners and exchange deals with the Houthi militia, in addition to the file to open the ports of Taiz, which discusses with the Houthi militia under Omani sponsorship, while Taiz represents Sheikh Al Mikhlafi It is not the axis of Taiz, which last month failed, with the militias, to reach an agreement to open the ports, because of the intransigence of the Houthi militia.

During the declaration of the Islah party, its position rejecting the military mobilization of Sheikh Al-Mikhlafi within the statement of the Taiz parties, it was noted how Islah activists and the media of the Muslim Brotherhood at the level of all of Yemen stood by Sheikh Hammoud al-Mikhlafi and against the position of the party, as the party was considered a number only between the signers of the statement, which is not It is unprecedented in the Brotherhood's media arms and electronic armies dealing with a position issued by the movement's political arm, which is represented by the Islah of Taiz.

In this context, questions arise about the reasons for Sheikh Al-Mikhlafi's return to the front, and the hidden position of the axis, the party and the political leaders affiliated as the front for Islah in Taiz.

These questions are raised in conjunction with calls issued by leaders of the Islah party to stop the media and political conflict between the components facing the militias, in line with the Saudi desire to calm the intensity of the debate between the political forces, especially the Conference and Islah.

The Islah works to restore the image of Sheikh Al-Mikhlafi and use it as a paper outside the framework of the organizational template whose positions are restricted by his loyalty to the Saudi position during this period due to many considerations.

Al-Mikhlafi was associated with Qatar, but he was also active in the Sultanate of Oman, Turkey, and Egypt, and he deliberately adopted positions against Riyadh to evade its grip and create a break with it that enabled him to serve the party and the Brotherhood movement without restrictions or pressure, and his position came from the statement of parties Taiz and with it Islah to deliver a message stating that it is not related the organizational position and its specific restrictions based on the party's relationship with Riyadh.

Sheikh Al-Mikhlafi was known for his extremist stance towards the Congress Party and its leaders, even those that stood against the Houthi coup, for example Sultan Al-Barakani, Rashad Al-Alimi and others, including Shawqi Ahmed Hail Saeed Anam.
Based on this extremism, the Brotherhood, Sheikh Hammoud al-Mikhlafi, is considered to be a parallel voice in Taiz that defines the relationship with the rest of the parties according to the upcoming developments, and from these parties the National Resistance Forces led by Tariq Saleh, which the Brotherhood considers a return to the Republican Guard forces that the Brotherhood has worked hard to dismantle in cooperation with the University Square Alliance including the Houthi militia.

Al-Mikhlafi, then, will determine the position of the rejectionist Brotherhood, i.e. rapprochement with the Mokha, Cairo, and Abu Dhabi, even if calls for rapprochement are issued from the top of the Brotherhood’s organizational hierarchy and the Al-Mikhlafi army that is formed with Qatari support is only a front, while the entire Brotherhood’s army in Taiz, brigades and a popular crowd, are represented this situation.
