On Saturday, the Houthi militia stormed the Higher Institute of Teachers, which is under its control, and prevented the conduct of a training course funded by the Social Fund for Development.

An educational source told "Newsyemen" that gunmen of the militia, led by one of its supervisors on board military crews, stormed the institute’s building and prevented the holding of a training course for female intellectuals to raise awareness of the importance of girls ’education.

It pointed out that preventing the establishment of the session by the militia with extremist pretexts, including that "it is forbidden to hold courses in which women participate."

The source added that a number of female teachers were carrying out a protest at the institute to protest the Houthi militia's prevention of holding the training course and a rejection of its extremist practices towards girl education and literacy.

Participants denounced the denial of receiving the skills and knowledge that contribute to literacy work and encouraging girls to enroll in education.

These extremist practices come amid the growing fears of Yemenis of the seriousness of the extremist ideas and extremist practices that the Houthi militia is trying to impose on them with the power of intimidation and weapons.
