Houthi militias, iran's arm in Yemen, have intensified their shelling of residential neighborhoods in the southern city of Hays, in The Hodeidah province on Yemen's west coast.

According to eyewitnesses, militias based in the northern district of Lahis shelled densely populated neighbourhoods with various types of shells.
On Sunday, the militias shelled two rockets, one of which exploded after falling on the house of Mohammed Mutahar, in a quarter of the market, bani Raza neighborhood east of Hays, and injured a resident who was taken to hospital for treatment, and severely damaged the house, they said.
The shelling caused extensive damage to the home of Mohammed Mutahar, while his children were in a state of panic and fear.
The militias target residential neighbourhoods with artillery and rocket-propelled grenades and various types of weapons, leaving a state of fear and panic among civilians.
