General Qassem Soleimani, the second man in the Iranian regime, was killed by an American strike in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, in an operation described as a severe blow to Tehran.
General Qassem Soleimani was the commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and he is also the military who controls Iran's Arab agents.
Under the direction of the Soleimani, the Iraqi militias stormed the United States embassy in Baghdad, a move that marked the beginning of the end for the Iranian general.
Soleimani had previously planned to strike several American and Arab interests, and the administration of President Donald Trump moved to discipline Iran by striking its most prominent military leaders.
