Human rights activists condemned the attack on the activist Ibtisam Abu Donia, who was tortured and beaten inside her home in Sana'a, yesterday, Tuesday, by the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.

Activist Wafaa Al-Dais called on human rights organizations in Yemen and abroad and the United Nations to consider and investigate Al-Houthi in his systematic targeting against free Yemeni women.

Al-Dais also demanded the release of hundreds of the kidnapped people, and said, rather, thousands of women residing in Houthi official prisons or in villas and basements of supervisors and Houthi officials.

Activist Malihah Al-Asadi asked: Is there masculinity, honor, morality, religion and custom attacking women?

"I can never believe all these bruises in the photo."

Activist Ibtisam Abu Donia said in a post on Facebook that she was beaten and insulted with her children by a Houthi leader and an armed group.

Activist Abu Donia had posted a video on her Facebook page, in which she asked the Houthis to pay the salaries of the employees who seized them.

It also demanded that citizens be provided with decent livelihoods, as the Houthi militia has become a de facto authority in its areas of control.

The activist, Ibtisam, later in the incident, thanked her solidarity, confirming her retention of the right to respond, and calling for the freedom of the country to deter the Houthis from violating the sanctities of the Yemenis.
