Human Rights Center: 15 civilians were killed in Taiz, and a money exchange shop was looted last December

The Information and Rehabilitation Center for Human Rights announced its documentation of 33 incidents of human rights violations against civilians in Taiz Governorate during the month of December of the previous year.

In the context, the center confirmed the killing of three civilians by bullets of illegal armed formations and five by unknown gunmen, while three others were killed by direct fire of members of the army of the Islah Party, in addition to the killing of one child as a result of torture in the prisons of the Taiz axis affiliated with the Islah Party.

The field team of the Center monitored the injury of three civilians, by the Houthi militia where one of them was shot by a sniper, the other was wounded by direct fire of an armed man outside the country, and a third was wounded by unknown gunmen.

The team documented one case of assault by military gunmen who carried out an armed assault on the home of the educationalist Abdo Muhammad al-Abi.

The report of the Information and Rehabilitation Center for Human Rights stated that his team monitored 13 cases of violations of private property, including four houses and three vehicles that were partially damaged as a result of the shelling by the Houthi militia.

 Five vehicles were also damaged as a result of armed clashes outside the country, while money exchanges were looted by gunmen.

The report touched on what the city is suffering due to the unjust siege by the Houthi militia from the eastern, northern and western sides, and its attempt to cut the city's only way by attacking the Souq Al-Rabou from the south that connects to Aden.


It pointed to the continuing state of security chaos and the continuation of assassinations, killings, looting and attacks by gunmen outside the country or individuals belonging to the government army or unknown persons who create chaos.
