Violent battles in "Naham", massacre of Ma'rib, civilians killed, and people displaced

For the fifth consecutive day, the Naham front east of the capital, Sana'a, is witnessing violent confrontations between government forces supported by the Legitimate Support Alliance, and the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.


According to the sources, the battles that broke out on Friday, during which government forces managed to achieve progress and control the Nahrin and Al-Maaradha in Nahham, Sana'a, and al-Farda, in Al-Majzar in Ma'rib Governorate.

As for the facilitation of the Naham front, the battles are still fierce inAl-Wasat valley, and the clashes have cut off the main line in the Al-Farda area under Mount Hailan and hundreds of cars are stuck there, according to local sources.

The sources pointed out that dozens of militia were killed in the confrontations with the army in Harash and Wagra Majzar, including the Houthi leader Jaber al-Muayyad, the leader of the attack on the Jarashab front.

The sources also confirmed that dozens of Houthis surrendered after they were lured by the army forces in the Al-Maradhah area.


The spokesman for the seventh military zone, Colonel Abdullah Al-Shanduqi, said that 72 Houthi militias were killed during the confrontations.

Parallel to the battles the army is waging in Naham, fierce battles have erupted, at the Aqaba Front in the Khub and Al Shaaf District and the Ham Front in the Al-Matoon District and the Al-Ghayl Frontier Front with the Majzar Front of Ma'rib Governorate


A resident of Majzar, affiliated to the Ma'rib Governorate, describes the situation as dangerous, indicating a massive displacement of the population. He said, that the Houthi militia has reached villages 4 km from the main line,

The Houthi militia had advanced on Mount Hailan, from Ma'rib Governorate, to the point of al-Kisara, and had been defeated this morning.


In the context, local sources in Naham said that a child was killed in a bombardment by the Houthi militia in the Al-Maradha area of Naham district.


Al-Maradha and Al-Hamraa areas, Najd and Munif, have witnessed the displacement of dozens of families as a result of the battles that were described as violent.
