The Houthi militias, the Iranian arm in Yemen, continue the violations of the citizens who refuse their coup, seize power, arrest them on false charges and put them in prison without any constitutional or legal justifications.

Sources in the capital, Sanaa, said: The preventive security of the Houthi militia arrested about 12 people, some of whom were security officers, others, army soldiers, and party leaders affiliated with the General People's Congress.

According to the sources, Houthi militias, as usual, remained for more than a week denying that they had arrested them before they retreated and admitted that they had arrested them and put them in prison on the allegations of their contact with the allied forces, especially the Commander of the Republic’s Guard Forces, Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, noting that these are allegations and charges that the militias attach to all opponents and those who reject its rule.

The sources add that the Houthi militia leaders reject any mediation by the leaders of the conference in Sana'a regarding the new and former detainees, citing the efforts of the leaders of the conference to release them as collusion with them in supporting what the aggression calls its alliance and its allies, noting that the Houthi militias intend to silence the leaders of the conference through provide them with copies of forged investigations that include allegations of detainees confessing to the charges against them.

The new arrests come at a time when a number of leaders and cadres of the General People's Congress have been languishing in the prisons of the Houthi militia for more than two years, some of whom have not been charged, while some have been referred to investigate the prosecution without any evidence.

It is worth noting that the Houthi militia is still arresting the son of the brother of the martyr leader Ali Abdullah Saleh, Muhammad Muhammad Abdullah Saleh, and the son of his nephew Afash Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh, since December 2017 and has yet refused to release them.
