@Aden, Newsyemen:

Nasser Al-Olaqi, a member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, announced Thursday his solidarity with the parents of children kidnapped by the militia of the Islah party in Shabwa governorate, southeast of Yemen.

On Tuesday, the Special Security Forces of the Islah Party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, arrested eight children in Shabwa Governorate, and transferred them to one of its private prisons.

Al-Olaqi tweeted, “All solidarity with Sheikh Lahmar bin Laswad for the kidnapping by the Islah militia of his child Muhammad (13 years) and the child Salem Shatif Laswad (14 years).

Al-Olaqi indicated that the kidnapping of children "is aimed at blackmailing him, subjugating him, and abandoning his stances against the Islah militias."

 The Southern Transitional Leader considered the kidnapping of children "sordid and alien practices against Shabwa carried out by junior officials of Major General Nasser Al-Dhibani."
