On Friday, the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, seized positions of legitimate government forces, in the Qaniya front, east of Al Bayda Governorate, in the center of the country.


Meanwhile, the national army, controlled by the Islah party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, spoke of a "successful recruitment process".

Field sources told "Newsyemen" that large groups of militia carried out a large-scale attack in the early hours of the army, towards the army posts in Khaddar al-Arja, between Qaniya and Houran.

He added that violent battles between the two sides, with various weapons, in light of the remarkable progress of the Houthis, resulted in the use of the army forces, men of the tribes of Abidya and popular resistance.

It pointed to the death and injury of both sides, and the fall of a number of prisoners in the hands of the militias after the control of army sites.
