Sana'a, which is controlled by the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, has been living in the wake of a new crisis, in domestic gas, for days.

Local residents said, "A stifling crisis in domestic gas cylinders has emerged in recent days, in Sanaa, in conjunction with the recovery of the black market.

They emphasized that the crisis of lack of cooking gas is contrived by the Houthi militia, as the material is widely available on the black market, but at high prices.

Citizens said that the leaders of the neighborhoods involved in selling domestic gas had given them bonds of receiving full cylinders, but they were surprised that there was no gas when they went to take it.

They were surprised at the large availability of gas on the black market, at a time when the capital, Sana'a, is witnessing a suffocating crisis and a near-total lack of approved sales centers.
