Colonel Turki al-Maliki, the spokesman for the Support of Legitimacy in Yemen, announced Monday that the Houthi targets that were destroyed during the qualitative military operation included weapons stores, drones, and sites of the Revolutionary Guards in Yemen.

The coalition fighters had launched several raids earlier on the military headquarters of the Houthi militia in the capital, Sanaa, after the Houthi militia launched two ballistic missiles on Saturday evening towards Riyadh and Jizan.

In a statement published by "SPA", al-Maliki stated that the coalition's joint forces command carried out a specific operation to neutralize and destroy "legitimate military targets" belonging to the terrorist Houthi militia and in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules to deal with the imminent threat.

He emphasized that the targets that had been destroyed included the advanced specific capabilities of the terrorist militia, such as storing, assembling, and installing ballistic missiles and drones, the whereabouts of the experts from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and armories.

The statement revealed that those military targets were distributed in a number of governorates in the areas controlled by the terrorist militia, including Al Hodeidah governorate after the Houthi militia had stored all types of missiles and the development of weapons caches and strengthened their fighting capabilities with equipment and reinforcements in a manner not compatible with the ceasefire agreement in Hodeidah and the (Stockholm) Agreement, stressing that preventive measures were taken to protect civilians after the Houthi militia took residential neighborhoods as military headquarters and took civilians as human shields.

Maliki said in the statement that "at this difficult time to fight the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and the unification and solidarity of the countries of the world, the Iranian regime, with its continuous support for its terrorist arm in Yemen and its sponsorship of its hostile and terrorist actions, is that they stand for hostility and devastation, and that the world with its collective efforts and contributions stands at the other end of the world.

He added that "the Iranian regime harnesses its financial, human and logistical capabilities to support the terrorist militia to achieve its expansionist ideas and ambitions at the expense of the Iranian people, who are suffering at this difficult time from heavy human losses as a result of the outbreak of the Coronavirus."

Al-Maliki affirmed at the conclusion of the statement, that the joint coalition forces leadership continues to implement the necessary and decisive measures to deal with these threats and violations, and to ensure the safety of our citizens and residents of our lands.
