The masks, sterilizers, and disinfectants have disappeared from the Mocha pharmacies, which are the first line of defense for the prevention of coronavirus.
Pharmacists told Newsyemen that the disappearance of these substances is linked to several reasons, one of which is due to the stopping of the import movement from China, which closed its borders, and the other to the greed of merchants, while other reasons, due to some organizations, withdrawing quantities from Mocha pharmacies.
The pharmacist, Jalal Al-Amri, accused the wholesalers of hiding large quantities of them, pending the high prices, to resell them in the markets again at high prices.
He added indignantly, the countries of the world provided free protection tools to their citizens for fear of spreading the virus, while our merchants seek to achieve financial profits, unaware of the pandemic that struck the world, and pushed countries that have global standards in health care such as Italy, to seek assistance to help them tackle the virus.
For his part, pharmacist Safwan Al-Dakhini said that most of the gags are supplied from China, and that closing their borders stopped supplying Yemen, while the quantities in the local markets ran out.
Pharmacies are very popular with citizens who want to buy masks and antiseptics, but they are completely lacking.
And Dr. Jalal Al-Amri attributed the disappearance of the masks to the organizations operating in Mocha who purchased large quantities, which led to the depletion of stockpiles.
