A second Houthi militia attack on Hays was thwarted

The heroes of the 7th brigade, the giants of the Hays front, responded to a surprise attack by the Houthi militias, Iran's arm in Yemen, after receiving heavy losses at the hands of the thirteenth brigades of the giants stationed on the Khokhah line.


Houthi militias launched an attack, on Sunday evening, April 5, 2020, on the locations of the joint forces stationed in Hais, south of Hodeidah, and after defeated, they shelled residential neighborhoods in the city center.


A military source said that the heroes of the 7th Brigade, the giants stationed in the Hays Front - within the joint forces, responded to a surprise attack by the Houthi militias on their southeastern locations.


The source pointed out that the militias launched their surprise attack on the heroes ’sites from the places of their control and the Wadi al-Dhami Valley in the south, and from the village of Al-Shayina and Al-Maqane in the southeast.

The military source confirmed that the militias suffered heavy losses in their equipment and their fighters fled.

After the militias were defeated, and as usual every time, they shelled residential neighborhoods with machine guns and with heavy fire on the housing units in the city center.


The second militia attack came, after receiving an overwhelming defeat at the hands of the heroes of the Thirteenth Brigade, the giants of the brigades stationed on Al-Khokhah Line, in Hays.

A military source in the joint forces said that the forces of the thirteenth brigade thwarted an attack by the Houthi militias coming from the villages of Al-Hamainiya and Al-Danin northwest of Hays with solidity.

The source confirmed that the forces inflicted heavy losses on the militia, killing and wounded the Houthis, and forcing the remainder of them to retreat and flee.
