Sanaa, Newsyemen, private:

Informed sources in the capital, Sanaa, said that differences had arisen between the Houthi militia government, the Iranian arm in Yemen, the militia leader and the director of the presidential office, Ahmed Hamed, against Hamed insistence on issuing a decision to form a special committee for agriculture that would vest the powers and competences of the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the sources, Hamed, who supervises all entities created outside the framework of the government's institutional structure, insists on the establishment of this committee and granting it the powers of the Ministry of Agriculture, which will enable him to control the support provided by international organizations, particularly the FAO to the Ministry of Agriculture, in addition to discharge the duties of the government, which is under the control of the militias.

The sources confirmed that the government of Ibn Habtoor, which is controlled by the militias, has so far refused to issue a decision to form the committee, and insists that the competencies of the Ministry of Agriculture remain the same, noting that Ibn Habtoor accused Hamed of seeking to form a committee and appoint his relatives and some of his personalities in this committee as well. He did in the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs and other entities operating outside the framework of state institutions and away from government authority.
