A military source reported the killing of seven Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, and the wounding of 13 others in violent confrontations between the National Army forces and the militia in a number of western fronts of the city of Taiz.

The source stated to Newsyemen that the militia launched a violent attack, at dawn on Tuesday, on the vicinity of Mount Han and the Al-Sayahi front, Mukana, Al-Khalwa and Matta hills, to the west of the city, in an attempt to control the sites and impose a siege on the city.

It pointed out that clashes erupted after the attack and the army forces were able to stand up to the militia attack after hours of heavy fighting, accompanied by artillery shelling and heavy fire coverage.

Houthi militia launched intense artillery attacks on residential neighborhoods in the area of Berbasha, the old airport, and Dhabab in the west of the city.

The source said that the bombing came after the Houthi militia failed to cause any penetration on the western and eastern fronts.

According to a medical source, the bombing resulted in the injury of seven civilians.
