Gargash: The coalition’s decision on ceasefire is a wise and responsible decision

Anwar Gargash, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, affirmed that the coalition decision on ceasefire is a wise and responsible decision.
He said in a tweet published today, Thursday, that "the coalition decision led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the ceasefire in Yemen for two weeks is a wise and responsible decision."
He warned that "with the repeated calls for a political solution, fears of the spread of the Coronavirus will complicate the ongoing humanitarian crisis."
He stressed that it is "an important decision that must be built on humanly and politically", indicating the continued need for additional steps from the legitimate government and the Houthi militia to impose a humanitarian truce.
The leadership of the Arab Alliance announced, on Wednesday evening, a unilateral ceasefire for two weeks, in response to the international call to stop military operations, to unite efforts in the face of the threat of the spread of the Coronavirus.
