Military sources confirmed the fall of the strategic Al-Khajar camp in Al-Jawf Governorate, which the army had taken over in February 2016.

The sources added that the Houthi militia took control of the entire strategic camp located in the Khub and Al-Shaaf district bordering Saudi Arabia, after violent confrontations with the army forces.

In the context, military sources confirmed that the national army forces withdrew from the strategic Al-Labanat camp after one day of control.

According to the sources, the army forces have taken their headquarters from Al-Jadafar, amid the calmness of the fighting there.

On the other hand, the sources reported that intermittent clashes are taking place between the National Army and the Houthi militia, 30 km from Al-Hazm.  According to the sources, regaining control of Al-Khanjar camp will facilitate the restoration of Al-Yatma Region, the administrative center of the Khub and Al-Shaaf Border Directorate in the Al-Jawf Governorate.
