Military source: Houthi militias raise the pace of military escalation in Hodeidah

 Houthi militias have increased the frequency of their violations of the international truce and ceasefire in Al Hodeidah governorate, as they intensified their shelling of neighborhoods, residential villages, and joint forces with various types of weapons.

An operational source in the joint forces said that the militias targeted residential neighborhoods in the districts of Hays and al-Tuhita with mortars, Ar-G shells, the Dishka weapon, the Pika and the snipers, and 14,7,12,12.

 The source pointed out that the residential villages in the mountainous region received a share of the Houthi breaches with a number of 82 mortar shells and RPGs.

The source said that the bombing operation left a state of terror, panic and fear among the civilians living in their homes in those areas.

 The source confirmed that the militias targeted the joint forces ’sites in the Al-Faza region and 16 kilometers east of Al-Hodeidah and Al-Jah with dozens of artillery shells in addition to shooting at various calibers. 

It also stressed the commitment of the joint forces to a comprehensive ceasefire and restraint in the lines of engagement with the right of legitimate response to cases of self-defense in the fronts.
