Hodeidah police chief: Militias create combat sites that exploit the armistice

The Police Director of Al-Hodeidah Governorate, a member of the government redeployment team, Brigadier Najib Waraq, visited and inspected the contact lines in the Hays front, south of Al-Hodeidah Governorate.

Waraq said: The militias are still escalating their violations and violations of the ceasefire announced by the Arab coalition, to which the joint forces committed themselves.

 He explained, that the militias continue to create combat sites for their fighters in conjunction with movements of their elements, taking advantage of the armistice, and continue to target residential neighborhoods in the city.

 A military source pointed out that militias targeted residential neighborhoods and citizen farms in the Hays district with 120-mm heavy mortars, and the number of violations reached 19, on Monday only.

The joint forces in the west coast recorded 79 violations committed by the Houthi militias in various districts and fronts of the Hodeidah Governorate during the past hours, Monday, April 13, 2020.

 Identical local sources told NewsYemen, on Saturday, that new movements were monitored for the Houthi militias on the outskirts of the Hays district, south of Hodeidah, towards the seam lines and the areas of concentration of their militants, as well as to bring in militants to Al-Udain junction, after two days of simultaneous attacks from the Udain junction.
