Gargash: The cease-fire is an opportunity to bring peace to Yemen

UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash said on Tuesday that he had spoken with the UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, and stressed his country's support for the efforts of the United Nations.
Gargash added, in a tweet on his Twitter account: We agreed that the ceasefire by the coalition is an opportunity to confront the threat of COVID-19 and work for a lasting political solution.
The UAE Minister of State emphasized that the ceasefire is "an essential step in the pursuit of peace for Yemen."
On Monday, Gargash stressed the need to seize the opportunity to enhance peace opportunities in Yemen.
He said, in a tweet on his Twitter account, that "international support and rally around the decision of the coalition led by Saudi Arabia to stop military operations in Yemen is necessary."
"The opportunity must be seized to enhance peace chances, and the ceasefire must not be seized and violated to arrange the sites," he added.
The UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs said that the coalition reaffirmed its seriousness to reach a comprehensive political solution.
