Sources in the Ministry of Oil, which is controlled by the militias, told Newsyemen: The militia leaders, who control the oil and gas trade in the areas under their control, rejected any discussion of the issue of reducing oil prices for a second time, contented with the reduction that was approved two weeks ago, which reduced the price of gasoline from 7300 Rials to 5900 Rials, while reducing the price of diesel to 6900 riyals, which are very high compared to the reductions announced by the oil company in the areas of the control of the legitimate government, or in comparison with the international prices of oil derivatives, which are witnessing an unprecedented decline.

To that, Houthi militias received the approaching month of Ramadan with a new price dose for the gas, as they announced the start of selling gas through filling stations in Sanaa three days ago at a price of 6400 per cylinder, after they had closed the stations for filling gas for more than two months on the pretext of lack of gas, at the time they continue to cause crises in the distribution of domestic gas through the district leaders, and the cylinder price reaches 4000 riyals.

The sources pointed out that the household gas crisis that the capital witnessed during the past two weeks, the delay in exchanging gas through district leaders for more than two weeks, and its high prices on the black market to 9000 Rials were a precursor to the process of rising the price in stations, especially as militia leaders realize that consumption of domestic gas within a month Ramadan rises to its highest level and citizens are forced to provide gas in any way and at any price, in light of insufficient distribution of gas through the district leaders.

The sale of domestic gas through the district leaders generates billions of riyals for the Houthi militias that control gas trade through the official gas company.
