Martin Griffiths, the UN envoy to Yemen, in a briefing to the Security Council during a closed session on Thursday, signed an agreement soon between the parties to stop the fighting.

He said he expected that the warring parties would soon adopt formally agreements on a comprehensive cease-fire, major humanitarian and economic measures, and the resumption of the political process.

A unilateral truce declared by the coalition and legitimacy to counter the outbreak of the Coronavirus failed in response to international calls.

Griffiths explained, according to Reuters, that he had negotiated with the parties over the texts for the past two weeks.

"We expect their agreement (the warring parties) and their formal adoption of these agreements soon," Griffiths told the United Nations Security Council.
