Aden, Newsyemen:

The Arab coalition considered the escalation of the Houthi militia - Iran's arm in Yemen - using ballistic missiles to target civilians and civilian objects, confirming the militia's rejection of all efforts and initiatives to cease fire, reduce escalation, and achieve peace.

"At 22:52 pm on Friday, the Houthi terrorist militia launched a ballistic missile towards the city of Marib, deliberately targeting civilians and civilian objects," said spokesman for the coalition forces, Colonel Turki al-Maliki.

He added, "The escalation of the Houthi terrorist militia by using ballistic missiles and deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian objects confirms the militia's rejection of all efforts and initiatives to cease-fire and reduce the escalation, the latest of which was the initiative of the Joint Forces Command for a ceasefire for two weeks."

Al-Maliki confirmed that the coalition forces ’leadership continues to implement the utmost restraint with the rules of engagement while retaining the right to legitimate response to cases of self-defense by taking the necessary measures to protect civilians inside Yemen from the oppression of this terrorist militia, stressing the coalition’s commitment to declare a ceasefire snd support the efforts and efforts of the Special Envoy for Yemen to reach a comprehensive political solution.

It is noteworthy that the Legislative Support Alliance in Yemen announced on April 8th a comprehensive ceasefire in Yemen for a period of two weeks, which could be extended to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus.
