Seizing a shipment of smuggled weapons to the coast of Hadhramaut

On Sunday April 19, 2020, security forces in the Hadhramaut Governorate coast thwarted an attempt to smuggle a shipment of automatic weapons and ammunition.
Security sources revealed that a shipment of weapons, which had been camouflaged carefully, was seized among the structure of a medium-sized vehicle, which was modified for smuggling purposes.
The security services in the Hadhramaut coast started to take the necessary measures and hand over the two detainees with the exact shipment to the concerned authorities.
This attempt coincides with the approach of the anniversary of the liberation of the Hadhramaut Coast, from al-Qaeda, with a military operation fought by the UAE armed forces, on April 24, 2016.
