The Saudi-led Arab coalition extended a unilateral ceasefire during the month of Ramadan, while Houthi militias extend military escalations in the western coastal areas and Hodeidah, intensifying attacks and bombing in the past two days of the month of fasting.

The Houthi militias launched a bombardment of the joint forces' positions in the Al-Durahimi district and the city of Al-Saleh, east of Al-Hodeidah, and in the districts of Al-Tuhita and Hays, south of Al-Hodeidah.

According to field sources in Al-Durahimi, the Houthi militia fired mortar shells at the joint forces positions in the district, and the same sources added that the militias targeted the joint forces’ sites east of Al-Saleh with a weapon of 14,5 and a pica rate.

Militias renewed the bombing and targeting operations on residential neighborhoods in the district of Al-Tuhita, south of Al-Hodeidah Governorate, on Saturday; and used B10 artillery shells and RPGs on residential neighborhoods south of the center of the district, as well as targeting the same area with medium weapons, caliber 12.7, with an average pica weapon, with a weapon of 14.5, and with sniper weapons.

The previous night, the joint forces foiled a large militia attack on Al-Tuhita, and clashes with it took place before the attack was broken and the militias inflicted losses of equipment and lives.

The militias renewed targeting the city of Hays with medium automatic weapons on the first day of Ramadan, and fired medium-sized machine guns of 14.5 caliber and 12.7 caliber weapons, intensively and continuously, targeting residential neighborhoods during daylight hours.
