Sana'a, Newsyemen, private:

The Legitimacy Ministry of Health criticized what it described as "the leniency of the United Nations Coordinator Office in Yemen in its dealings with the actions of the Houthi militia that threatens the lives of people, and the soft language towards their blackout that does not comply with the World Health Organization's directives" on corona.

The statement said, the Ministry of Health is still awaiting what the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator will provide to Yemen in the face of the pandemic.

The Ministry expressed concern about the fears expressed by the Office of the United Nations Coordinator of the possibility of an outbreak of the Corona virus in the capital, Sanaa, and that the Houthi militia was concealing such a serious matter, as they became known to be indifferent to the humanitarian aspect and the lives of Yemenis.

It said that it followed with great interest the statement issued by the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen on Tuesday, which disclosed fears of an outbreak of corona disease emerging in Yemen and the possibility that it had spread to areas controlled by the Houthi rebel militia without being detected.

Stressing its commitment to announce any case that is being monitored or suspected, such as a moral obligation adopted by the National Emergency Committee and stressed that the first means of community protection is transparency and openness.

It also pledged to make every effort and work to examine suspected cases, openness to society and clarification of public opinion, and to ensure that the epidemic is not politicized or obscured by injuries.

In the context, the Ministry of Health held the Houthi militia responsible for clarifying what is happening and its concealed results about the virus spread in its areas of control.
