Members of the UN Security Council urged the Houthis to join the Yemeni government in order to stop the ongoing hostilities and confront the Corona outbreak.

The Southern Transition's move took control of the statement's atmosphere in what appeared to be a dedicated attempt to salvage a deal that has been ripening between legitimacy and the Houthis on which Martin Griffiths and British moves have been based for weeks under the political urgency to take advantage of the risks of the Corona pandemic, coinciding with the announcement of the Minister of Health in the legitimate government from Riyadh of 5 cases reported in Aden in light of a campaign of rumors and intimidation regarding the health conditions, while the consequences of the flood disaster and the accompanying fevers are ignored.

While members, in a statement on Yemen, urged the government and the Houthis to enhance their participation to reach agreement on Martin Griffiths proposals at the earliest time, members expressed grave concern over the Southern Transitional Council's announcement of April 25 and called for the early implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.

The members, according to the statement, expressed concern that the actions of the Southern Transitional Council may divert attention from the efforts of Special Envoy Martin Griffiths to secure a ceasefire - between the government and the Houthis - and confidence-building measures, and to resume a comprehensive political process.

They reaffirmed their strong commitment to the unity, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Yemen.

They welcomed the announcement of the "Coalition for the Support of Legitimacy in Yemen" to extend the unilateral ceasefire in support of the United Nations peace process.
