Breaking two Houthi attacks in southern Hodeidah

The joint forces on the west coast broke two attacks by the Houthi militia in Hays and Tuhita, south of Al Hodeidah governorate.


A Newsyemen correspondent in Al-Tuhita said that the joint forces responded this evening to a Houthi attack on the outskirts of the city of Al-Tuhita in an attempt to advance to the district center under heavy fire coverage.


 In Hays, the jount forces responded to a massive advance by the Houthi militia, which resulted in loss of life and equipment.


A military source in the joint forces stationed with the Hays Front had confirmed continuous movements of the Houthi militias in their areas of control around the city and the continuation of the combat innovations.


 The source pointed to the monitoring of the movements of Houthi groups in a number of farms and residential areas that were evacuated from the population and seized by militia elements, and continues the developments and excavation work and erecting barricades and trenches.


In the same context, monitors said, that the militias are bringing in gunmen and accumulating weapons in a number of workshops and factories for the preparation and manufacture of "blocks" towards the city of Hays.


 Also, on Monday, the joint forces detected movements of groups of Houthi militia militants in Qasim Hussain farms, which confirms the militias intentions to escalate the military, according to a field source.


The Houthi militia again opened fire with automatic weapons towards residential villages and citizen farms in Al-Jabaliya area of the district of Al-Tuhita.
