Houthi elements, including leaders, were killed in a ballistic explosion and battles in Serwah and Al-Jawf front

A leader in the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, was killed and others were wounded by a ballistic missile explosion while trying to launch it from the militia's control sites in Sarwah, Marib.


Military sources said that the Houthi militia attempted to launch a ballistic missile towards the densely populated city of Marib from the Habab region between the governorates of Marib and Sanaa, at dawn today, Saturday, adding that the missile exploded before its launch, killing those present at the place, including one of the militia leaders.

Houthi militia continues to target populated areas in the city of Marib, with missile attacks that have killed dozens of civilians and injured others.

In the context, military sources confirmed the killing of about twenty Houthi militia, including six field leaders, in the confrontations in the Serwah Front during the past hours.


The sources said that the bodies of twenty of the militia's dead arrived at a forty-eight hospital in the capital, Sanaa, from Serwah.

Among the dead, according to the sources, are the leader known as Abu Abdullah al-Shawish, the engineer of the mines, Abu Ali al-Qadi, the supervisor of the Bahra region in Nehm, Abu Hashem al-Hamzi, the militia supervisor in al-Jawf, Abu Malik al-Hamzi, the chief financial officer and supply officer for Al-Jawf Front, and Colonel Khaled Hussein Al-Kahlani.
