Aden, Newsyemen:

The British weekly Arab newspaper warned of the increasing Turkish presence in Yemen, especially in the troubled southern region, and said it raises concerns across the region about security in the Gulf of Aden and Bab al-Mandab.

The newspaper said that these fears increased due to reports that indicated that the Turkish agenda in Yemen received support and funding from the government of Qatar through some Yemeni political and tribal figures linked to the Brotherhood.

It pointed out that the main goal is to blackmail the Arab coalition by creating a Turkish threat supported by Qatar.

The report said that Turkey has been operating in Yemen with caution and confidentiality until now, pending the appropriate opportunity to intervene, and aspires to obtain more support from the government of President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi before the field intervention.

Turkey focuses its secret activities and goals in Yemen on 3 coastal regions, namely: Shabwa, Socotra and Taiz, according to the newspaper’s sources.

The Arab weekly, in previous reports, had indicated the presence of Turkish intelligence elements in Shabwa, under the cover of the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Organization, which has been active in the province since the Brotherhood took control of it in August 2019.

The newspaper pointed to the statements of political analysts about the effective role of the Islah Brotherhood in granting Turkish ambitions that are denied by the coverage of charitable organizations with access to Yemeni cities.

Despite Erdogan's failed wars, whether in Syria, Libya or Iraq, and his intentions and ambitions - the British newspaper says - he has not learned from these losses, and he cannot put an end to his ambitions.
