Aden, Newsyemen:

The Cuban Modern Hospital announced, on Tuesday, the opening of a charitable emergency center to deal with cases of fever spread in Aden Governorate, southern Yemen.

Dr. Shawky Abdulwahid, the Executive Director, said in a press statement, that the hospital administration will open a separate charitable emergency to deal with cases of widespread fevers in Aden based on our human and moral responsibilities towards the people of Aden and help them overcome the plight of the spreading epidemics.

He stated that a special emergency center has been prepared to receive cases afflicted with fevers with all the equipment as first aid to receive sick cases and a contribution from us to the humanitarian side. The inspection will be free of charge and a discount from the laboratory to examine fevers 50 percent, and first aid in emergencies will be given to patients free of charge.

"We monitored an operating cost for one month at a cost of forty one million eight hundred and twenty seven thousand two hundred and fifty riyals, and this operational budget and first aid treatments were discussed with the philanthropists and the Trustees Foundation for Humanitarian Action who committed that they would contribute to supporting the operational budget and first aid that would be given to patients for free .

He hoped that all organizations and businessmen would "contribute to this charitable project so that we can continue to work and provide medical personnel to absorb the sick cases."

Shawky called on international and humanitarian organizations and philanthropists to contribute so that they can provide their humanitarian services during the specific period of the month and beyond, adding: "Unless we will work according to our capabilities, and if we receive support we pledge to continue our humanitarian work and provide free services and we will expand our absorptive energies."
