A southern military force, led by Brigadier Abdullah Al-Hotari, head of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate, carried out a combing operation in the Sala and Thaalan valleys near Qarn Al-Classi on Tuesday.
While the confrontations between the southern forces on the one hand and the Muslim Brotherhood militia on the other hand continued sporadically in the Sheikh Salem and Al-Tarya areas until late hours of Tuesday evening.
According to field sources, the clashes left the dead and wounded among the Islah militia.
In a connection, local residents in Shuqrah Al-Saheliya reported that artillery explosions were clearly heard in Qarn Al-Classi, confirming that ambulances were rushing to the area to transport the injured members of the Muslim Brotherhood towards the Arqoub area.
