Amnesty International has expressed concern about the lack of credibility of the Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, for the decision to release the kidnapped Baha'is in its prisons.

In a tweet on its official Twitter account, the organization said that Houthi leader Mehdi Al-Mashat had ordered in a televised address the release of all Baha'i detainees, including Hamed bin Haidara, who had been sentenced to death, but this did not happen.

While calling on the Houthi militia to fulfil its commitment and release them, the organization explained that "it has been more than 60 days and Hamid and the other five remain in prison."

Hamed Haidara, who was arrested in December 2013, was sentenced to death by the Houthi-controlled court of appeals in Sanaa and to seize all his and Baha'i's property.
