Cables running on the electricity lines running between Jabal Al Nar and Al Mocha are stolen, threatening to destroy the network of transmission lines to other cities.
Citizens said, the thieves sell the amount of copper per kilo in shops that buy metal materials.
They added, this has been happening continuously since the liberation of Mocha from the Houthi militia, and the thieves are targeting lines that have not been loaded with electric power.
Residents living in rural areas close to Mocha, who had access to electricity before the steam station was shut down in 2015, criticized the silence for what was happening.
They called on the local authority to control criminals and protect the transmission lines from the damage they are subjected to.
