Abyan, Newsyemen, private:

A senior Brotherhood militia leader was killed in Sunday's confrontations with southern forces around the city of Jaar in Abyan Governorate, south of Yemen.

Field sources said that Colonel Al-Khadr Korda was killed while he was leading the crawl battalion towards the stairs near the city of Jaar, while dozens of his members were captured, and the southern forces seized several military vehicles.

According to the sources, Colonel Korda, who is considered one of the important field leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood militia, was transferred to a hospital in Shabwa.

On Sunday dawn, members of the Islah militia and the interim president Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi infiltrated by 12 vehicles including two kits and ten crews, and managed to cross one of the advanced sites due to rain and clashes with the other site.

Later, the southern forces regained control of the sites that had been infiltrated by the Brotherhood militia, after fierce battles, and were stationed at the Durjaj camp at the Sala Front.

Jaar, the largest city in Abyan Governorate, and the areas where clashes took place (Al-Durjaj, across Uthman, Al-Taryiah and Al-Makhzen) occurred after the Brotherhood's militia was defeated to its previous locations.

In the context, the southern forces targeted, on Sunday, a military kit in the Jarrah area, east of Al-Mahfed.

The sources said that the southern forces ambushed the crew, which had 6 armed militants from the Muslim Brotherhood.
