Fierce battles break out in Sala valley in Abyan

Violent armed clashes broke out on Monday between the southern forces on one side and the Muslim Brotherhood militia on the other, in Sala valley in Abyan Governorate, south of Yemen.
Field sources reported that fierce battles erupted in Sala Valley at the Axis of Al-Tareya, in which various medium and heavy weapons were used and lasted for hours.
It pointed out that the Brotherhood's militia had again carried out an infiltration attempt towards the advanced positions of the southern forces, but it quickly thwarted.
On Sunday, the Muslim Brotherhood suffered heavy losses at the hands of the southern forces in Abyan, and dozens of its members were killed, wounded and captured.
