Aden, Newsyemen, private:

Al Houthi Militia has developed a draft law amending zakat, which would legalize it to seize 20% of the state’s revenue and citizen’s property in its areas of control in favor of (Bani Hashem).

The Houthi militia is seeking to pass the law that it called (the law of one-fifth) through the Parliament under its control in Sana'a.

The law, which has been described as racist, allows the Houthis to plunder half of the state's wealth and the property of the Hashemites.

Religious scholars from the Islah Party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, had paved the way for religious fatwas, with extremist cleric Abdulmajeed al-Zindani issuing a fifth of the Hashemites in 2014.

"Newyemen" channel publishes on YouTube, a motion graphics video, showing the motives of the racist one fifth law, which a draft leaked to the text sparked a wide wave of criticism and ridicule in the Yemeni street.
