Sanaa, Newsyemen, Ahmed Fouad:

Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - continues its mobilization activities among young people and children, exposing the lives of thousands to the threat of the Coronavirus, in violation of the teachings and recommendations of the World Health Organization to confront the epidemic.
In contrast to announcing the closure of schools and the suspension of the educational process in Sana'a and the neighboring governorates, the Houthi militia is organizing sectarian militarization sessions for children under the name of summer centers in a number of mosques, in light of the spread of Coronavirus and the increasing number of deaths in most neighborhoods of Sanaa and its suburbs.
Hamoud Abbad, who is appointed from the Houthi militia as secretary of the capital, Sanaa, lost a gathering of children to what was called the summer centers inside the Great Mosque of the old city of Sana'a, which is crowded with dwellings and residents.
While social divergence is one of the most important preventive measures to tackle the global coronavirus, including the suspension of education at all levels, the closure of schools and universities, and the suspension of prayers in mosques, the Houthi militia keeps the mosques of Sanaa and the neighboring governorates open as a primary focus for the transmission of corona infection in residential neighborhoods.
According to political sources in Sanaa, the Houthi militia fears that closing mosques will isolate it from local communities and lose it as a forum for rhetoric and mobilization for the fronts, and broadcast the speeches of Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi through loudspeakers among the five prayers, in light of the reduced impact of these speeches on its members and the beneficiaries financially from working with them.

Cumulative blunder and ignorance

The Houthi militia conceals the extent of the spread of the Corona virus and the number of its victims, claiming that the announcement of the number of victims "raises terror and affects the psychological factor", in clear violation of Yemeni law, which considers concealing this a crime punishable.
Activists and politicians see the Houthi militia's secrecy as accumulated ignorance, ignorance, lack of ability to take appropriate decisions, frank failure to manage a crisis, and a clear disregard for the lives of Yemenis.
Health workers in Sanaa criticized the lack of transparency in dealing with the Corona virus, considering that the blackout is a wrong policy that contributes to the spread of the epidemic.
Law No. 4 of 2009 regarding public health in Yemen punishes “Anyone who intentionally conceals a contagious disease, or someone who has been exposed to an epidemic disease, or intentionally caused the transmission of infection to others, or refrains from carrying out any measure required to prevent an outbreak of infection, is considered Perpetrator of an offense punishable under the provisions of this law.
