The southern forces took control of the last strongholds of the Muslim Brotherhood on the island of Socotra Archipelago in southeastern Yemen, after violent battles.
Meanwhile, the archipelago became completely in the hands of its southern people, while the head of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council began self-management from the governor's office.
Saudi Arabia seems to realize the Brotherhood’s frustration in the quiet province, as its forces there remained neutral and did not interfere in the battle.
The Islah party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, had taken control of Socotra and set up absurd militia camps, as well as practiced classes of violations against the islanders who were not loyal.
Newsyemen is publishing, on YouTube, a Motion Graphics video, showing the resounding slap that the southern forces paid to the Brotherhood in Socotra, after the Islah had begun to play the role of mediator between some sheikhs and the State of Qatar in preparation for Qatar control the island and investing in it.
