Aden, Newsyemen:

Nizar Haitham, the spokesperson for the Southern Transitional Council, confirmed that the Brotherhood's forces and militia attacks against the southern resistance after the Arab coalition declared a ceasefire, a blatant violation.

Haitham said, in a statement, that the southern resistance was attacked by forces and militias loyal to the Brotherhood under the umbrella of legitimacy, immediately after the announcement of a ceasefire by the Arab coalition.

Haitham described the legitimate government’s welcome of the coalition’s announcement as “pictorial” and a reprehensible violation that coincided with a statement of the cabinet of the outgoing government and expressed an irresponsible escalation.

The statement considered the field escalation denunciating moves that did not take any regard for the mediation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and that they are declared obligations coincided with terrorist attacks against the lands of the Kingdom by the Houthi militia in a form of collective targeting to which the Kingdom is exposed by these parties.

Haitham stressed that all these violations and measures that undermine the chances of peace will not stop the transitional council from adhering to its position in support of the efforts of the brothers in the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom, but rather express the stubborn position of the other party, and contradict its regional and international loyalties and their multiplicity, in reference to the wing of the Brotherhood who took over the government’s decision Legitimacy.

He also stressed the legitimate right of the Council to defend itself in the face of these serious threats and violations, and we salute the persistence and stability of our heroic southern forces on all fronts of the fighting.
