Hadhramaut Transitional Council suspends the popular escalation, in implementation of the Riyadh agreement

The popular escalation committee of the Southern Transitional Council in Hadhramaut Governorate announced, on Tuesday evening, the suspension of the popular escalation program in the governorate to prepare the atmosphere for the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.

The meeting, chaired by Dr. Muhammad Jaafar bin Al-Sheikh Abu Bakr, head of the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Hadhramaut Governorate, approved the temporary suspension of the escalation in implementation of the leadership's directions.

The head of the Popular Escalation Committee, Salem Ahmed bin Dagher, Deputy Chief of the Transitional Council Leadership in Hadhramaut, said in a press statement that the suspension comes in response to the statement issued by the Council, and according to the statement of the spokesperson of the Council to stop the escalation in all its forms in the southern governorates, to provide an opportunity for the signatories of the Riyadh Agreement for the meeting and directly implement it.

Ibn Dagher affirmed that the committee has taken upon itself to implement the legitimate demands of citizens in providing services and the application of self-management, warning that any procrastination by the Yemeni government in implementing the Riyadh agreement, the escalation will return strongly, until the implementation of the legitimate demands of citizens in self-management and empowering them from their resources, providing services, fighting corruption, and stopping the supply of governorate revenues.
